Edward's Symphony (Claire de Lune by Debussy)

By: Amorbaby

In the depths of night, a piano softly weeps,
Echoes of ages, a melody that seeps,
Through centuries past, where time does swoon,
Edward plays "Clair de Lune," a timeless tune.

Forlorn keys caressed by hands of despair,
Each note a whisper, a longing laid bare,
A hundred years passed, in the moon's soft glow,
He plays for a love he's yet to know.

Through twilight's veil, his soul takes flight,
Lost in the chords of eternal night,
A haunting refrain, a yearning's embrace,
Music that echoes through time and space.

In each delicate trill and poignant chord,
Resides a hope that cannot be ignored,
A symphony woven with bittersweet grace,
His heart's melody, in a solitary place.

Though unknown, the face of his destined muse,
Edward's devotion, a timeless ruse,
"Clair de Lune" sings of love's sweet chore,
A serenade for one he's yet to adore.
Through the ivories' dance, his heartstrings strum,
Awaiting the one he'll finally become,
In patient vigil, his soul takes flight,
Playing for love in the hushed moonlight.
