If I disappear from the world,
Will whispers of my presence fade,
Or will remnants of my essence curl
Around the corners where I've played?
Will the stars hold my silent gaze,
Or will they blink indifferent eyes?
Will laughter still dance in familiar ways,
Amidst the absence of my sighs?
Will the trees still rustle in the wind,
Telling tales of moments shared?
Or will my absence gently rescind
Those memories once brightly paired?
Will someone pause in passing thought,
A fleeting moment of my face?
Or will I, in time, be simply forgotten,
Lost in life's bustling pace?
If I vanish from the world's embrace,
Will joy blossom more freely there?
Or will shadows linger in the space
Where once I breathe the same air?
Perhaps my absence, a fading hue,
Will cast no ripples, stir no wave.
Yet, let my presence echo true—
In kindness given, moments I gave.
For even if the world moves on,
A piece of me may linger still,
In a song, a smile, a dawn's soft yawn,
A gentle touch, a cherished thrill.
So, if I vanish from this sphere,
Let memories paint a subtle hue,
And if someone sheds a quiet tear,
Know that I once felt their view.
For in this vast, unending scroll,
I've etched my mark, a tender trace,
And if I disappear from the whole,
Love's whispers linger in its space.
